Description
This one of a kind mug is thrown in stoneware and trimmed into a soft, rounded form that almost reads like a small bowl with a handle. The upper part is coated in a deep, glossy black glaze that catches the light, while the lower section is left unglazed, revealing the natural, layered texture of the clay like sediment lines carved into a hillside.
The contrast between shiny black and raw earth gives the piece a strong, graphic presence, while still feeling warm and tactile in the hand. The handle is generous and fluid, glazed in black for a comfortable grip.
