Description
This one-of-a-kind vessel is thrown in an iron-rich red stoneware and fired high to lock in a deep, earthy tone. The body is left unglazed, so the natural texture of the clay and the subtle hairline cracks around the shoulder stay visible, like dry riverbed lines on the surface.
The rim and interior are finished with a soft white glaze that cools the form and frames the opening, creating a calm contrast between clay and glaze. Its low, generous curve makes it read almost like a landscape. Wide, grounded, and steady.
Perfect as a sculptural statement piece on its own, it can also hold dried branches, a small ikebana arrangement, or simply live empty as an object of quiet focus.
